Fig Tree Cottage Guest Book

Thanks for a beautiful two days. It's a lovely cottage and the fire was great. All the personal touches, like fresh flowers etc made it feel so homey. Oh well, back to 31°.
Mark & Margie, Darwin

Thank you for helping to make our first trip to the Barossa Valley together a very memorable one. Fig Tree Cottage is a delight -- rich in old world charm and all the creature comforts one could wish for. No stone has been left unturned in its presentation and it is a credit to you. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be sure to pay Fig Tree Cottage a visit the next time we visit South Australia.
A& J, Melbourne

After 2 months on the high seas, away from the comfort of home, this place was an oasis. We enjoyed good wine, great food from the Angaston Gourmet Food shop and a cosy fire. C & G, Perth WA

Fig Tree Cottage is perfect! We have no other words! Thankyou so much for your hospitality.
Pen & Phil, Bourke

Coming from the rat race to this beautiful, warm, cosy cottage is heavenly. This is the type of place you wish you could grow old in without having to worry about the outside world and all f its crap! Thank you.
Kevin

Winter begins . . . but how divine to be sitting in front of your warm fire. We are so totally at home here - it is cosy, warm and relaxed - just the perfect thing to soothe and nurture in this world of constant haste and torture. A truly healing experience. Am eternally grateful for it. So thoughtful you are to have a kitchen so well stocked with goodies. Thankyou.
Greta

Kathy and I loved the break and the "enchanted" cottage. I hope that we will be back. Tony Bennett was sensational at the Barossa under the stars. What a night!!

Working hard making wine at Rockford is, well, hard work. And I can think of nowhere else in the world I would rather come home to. Figtree Cottage is just too fabulous for words. Don't go 'a changin'

Came for two days, stayed for four!! It read well in the brochure, but the reality far surpassed that. We would certainly return.

A very relaxed and private stay. All of the comforts of home with non of the distractions. A wonderful meal at Vintners. Very glad we found your website.

At first we thought we had walked into somebody's home by mistake, absolutly all contingencies catered for- even panadol for my hangover- fantastic. Just Lovely!!

The cottage was wonderful, everything you needed was there and it was very comfortable. We will definetly be back one day.

As we explored your beautiful cottage inside and out, from the fruit trees to warm bath, roaring fires and cosy bedroom, we can only sum it up in one word, "WOW!!" We thank you for a romantic stay for both of us.
Allan and Judy, Gold Coast, Queensland

A wonderful cottage - you felt you were in a home not guest accommodation. The garden is superb and I was impressed with the sharp knife in the kitchen! Enjoyed our stay immensely. PS. who lives upstairs over the kitchen? Proprietor's note: Our friendly possum.
Jan and Shirley, Victoria

A wonderful welcome with all the special little touches that make this a great place to stay - burning fire, sherry, flowers etc, plus everything we could possibly need to cook up a great meal and have a lovely weekend.
Alexandra and John, Perth, Western Australia

What a lovely way to start our new life as husband and wife!. It was so nice to come 'home' to Fig Tree with the fire blazing and teh bed toasty and warm! We will be recommending Fig Tree to friends outside the Barossa. PS. We apologize for any stray pieces of confetti which may have escaped the vacuum cleaner.
James and Teresa H, Tanunda, South Australia

The most divine little cottage that I've ever spent the night in. Everything from the open fire, to the bath before a cosy night's sleep, to wake up to a cure country breaky. I only hope I can bring back teh most special person to have this expeience again - only better!!
Alex, Sydney, New South Wales

Well, what can you say about God's own cottage? Everything we needed was at arm's length. My god, there were even Berocca tablets in the kitchen. After a fabulous meal at Vintners, home to bath and bed. Our only complaint is that we only stayed for one night.
David and Baci, Sydney, New South Wales

Article in the Melbourne Age by DM Walker, 2 June, 1998 A refrigerator stocked with eggs and double-smoked bacon, a claw-footed bath-tub, an open fireplace and a delightful garden - a perfect place to come home to after a hard day touring the Barossa vineyards. Last December, Sydney PR Lesley Ann Grimoldby, whose clients include a number of large wine companies, thought she was buying a country cottage close to the vineyards, but then discovered that the contract for sale included everything else - such as the sel-catering B&B's forward bookings. Two-bedroomed, stone Fig Tree Cottage was built by settlers in the 1840s and is nestled in the Barossa town of Angaston. For details phone (08) 8564 3325, or e-mail figtree@dove.net.au
